Welcome to Weatherly (the "Application"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Summary: We do NOT collect or store your personal data on our own servers. Data operations are performed locally or shared with trusted third-party weather providers as selected by you.
We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, phone number, or address. We do not maintain any external servers to store user-specific data.
Optionally, GlobalWeather can access your approximate or precise location to find weather data for your position. This data is shared with the weather sources you select in the Application settings. If you do not want to share your location, you can deny permissions and choose a city manually.
To provide weather icon customization, this Application queries for installed icon packs locally. It only lists packages that match specific weather icon pack provider signatures. No package data is collected, uploaded, or shared.
If enabled, the Application connects to GitHub to check for updates. Your version number is compared on-device; no personal info is transmitted during this check.
Since we do not collect or store personal data on any servers, we do not retain your data. Any location data used to fetch weather is processed in real-time and not stored by the Application. You can stop all data processing simply by uninstalling the Application or disabling location permissions in your device settings.
GlobalWeather relies on third-party APIs for weather data and geocoding. These providers have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them via the "Privacy Policy" link in the Application's settings menu. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or sell any user data.
